Offered services
Supporting forest and watershed restoration businesses, non-profit organizations, state, and federal agencies with the following services:
- Project Management and Planning – As a certified Federal Project Manager (FAC-P/PM Level 2), I can work with you to prepare and maintain Project Management Plans and related documents that meet federal requirements so you can focus on putting the project on the ground in scope, on time, and in budget.
- Grant Writing and Technical Bid Proposals – As a former federal Contracting Officers Representative and Federal Grant and Agreements Management Specialist, I can work with you to prepare your grant application or technical bid proposal to meet agency standards and to highlight your capabilities to improve your chances of a successful award.
- NEPA Strategies and Analyses – National Environmental Policy Act compliance is both a challenge and an opportunity to get good work done on the ground. I can help you navigate the many recent changes to NEPA policy and practice, including the use of newly expanded categorical exclusions to meet timeline and page limits.
- Post-Fire Recovery Project Support – As wildfires burn more acres every year in the western US, the demand for post-fire recovery on state and federal lands is exponentially increasing. I spent 12 years on the National Interagency Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) Team and served as a BAER implementation Leader managing the many contracts and agreements to help stabilize and eventually restore burned landscapes. I can help you plan, organize, and execute your post-fire assessments, treatment prescriptions, and treatment effectiveness monitoring.
- Business Development – With the emphasis on active forest management and the reinvigoration of timber and mill industry, this is a prime opportunity to expand your business beyond the traditional services or to retool your business to find new efficiencies and product lines. Frankly, the traditional systems and ways of doing business aren’t scaled to meet the new demands. I can help you navigate this complex field with an eye on what’s going on in the government sector, the non-profit sector, and the forestry business sector.
- Doing Business with the Government – I also offer hourly and daily rate fee-for-service to help you navigate the government business environment. I can help you with one-time tasks such as registering with SAM.gov, navigate Grants.gov, become a vendor in the Land Management Integrated Resources Blanket Purchase Agreement, and get on the New Mexico State Price Agreement.
- Training and Workforce Development – I offer training that can be scaled or customized for a variety of forestry industry needs, including curriculum development for new and emerging professionals, training workshops, or expanding your professional skills to meet new challenges and opportunities.
